I was a partnered writer before they rewrote the rules so you need a 100 follower minimum before being accepting. The fact they offered no grandfather clause (especially when the partner program would help reach 100 followers faster and promote my work) was just a slap in the face. And now their TTS option, which was a great feature for both readers and writers with reading/hearing/sight issues, is behind a paywall is just further confirmation Medium is becoming the new Facebook/Twitter of online writing; not fit for purpose but unfortunately a brand name with some remaining clout.
